The body requires balance between the upper chakras—throat, third eye, and crown—and the lower chakras—solar plexus, sacral, and root. At the center lies the heart, the bridge between them. In Reiki, no chakra is superior; they are all interconnected. Just as a tree’s roots must be healthy to support its highest branches, so too must the lower chakras be grounded to bring balance to the third eye and crown as they open.
