Reiki Session Dublin. One session...or three? How much is needed?

Updated: May 24, 2023

I am a reiki Master Teacher based in Dublin. Blackrock, south Dublin.

I am often asked at the end of a session "how often should I come for a reiki session?"

The short answer is: it all depends on how you feel hours, even days, after receiving reiki. Wait and see how you feel after your reiki session Dublin with me!

Reiki is a healing energy that can continue working through the body several hours after the session is over.

Named from the Japanese rei-ki ("universal life force energy") reiki still flows after a session. Continuing to open those chakras that were perhaps more sluggish then the others. Or further enhancing chakras that were already naturally open, leading to a feeling of being very energized, even euphoric.

You can read more about what to expect from a Reiki session Dublin with me HERE and also HERE

Many people say they sleep very profoundly after a reiki treatment. Or felt particularly "heavy" and exhausted after the session and needed to rest. This is also true of people being "attuned" to reiki in a reiki class.

This experience happens commonly when energy that hasn't been flowing for a while is suddenly kick-started and a person may feel exhausted before they feel re-energized.

Sometimes one session is enough to kick start the shifts necessary to change a course of action.

By action I mean, for example, make a decision about something that has been bothering them for a while. Or come to a conclusion about something important.

"Action" here can mean shifting a pattern of thought permanently, or enough to produce a different action even temporarily. After all everything is energy and the way we think or set intentions in turns effect our emotions & actions. Read more about that HERE

We tend to think of thoughts inside our head as just that - thoughts. Intangible & abstract. In the world of energy, though, thoughts are as solid as a chair or table. Thoughts can clutter our heads. We may perceive muddled thoughts as "invisible" clutter, but energetically, this "clutter" has a form that can be felt by the reiki practitioner in a session.

After a session, and throughout the next several hours, this clutter may dissolve leaving you to think clearly and with a fresh perspective.

On the other hand, if thought patterns are hard wired and resistant to change - such as negative self beliefs - it may take more conscious effort to shift them long term. Whereas energy - particularly crystallized thought forms - can dissolve rapidly with reiki energy, sometimes they are more persistent. Perhaps crystallized energy in a chakra has a very solid structure, and this may ease out of the chakra over 2-3 sessions.

Some people may come back for a few more sessions to really create the desired shifts, and some choose to do the level 1 course so they can give reiki to themselves.

What really matters is your unique and personal experience of the reiki session. How you felt the energy and how you continued to feel it in the following hours & days afterwards.
